A new publication detailing X-ray-induced acoustic computed tomography. X-ray induced acoustic (XACT) computed tomography is the co-registration of Photoacoustic and X-ray imaging. XACT takes advantage of high sensitivity to X-ray absorption and high ultrasonic resolution in a single modality. The goal of x-ray acoustics is to generate 3D maps of the absorbed x-rays to help to refine radiation therapy.
